JodyLynC - I hope you don't mind if I ask another AAA question in your thread. If you use AAA to book a package, do you get the room discount in addition to being able to add dining? I tried our AAA office and their quote was exactly the same as offered on the Disney website with no discount. Plus I had to argue with the woman, that I didnt need to buy tickets for each day we are staying. We have AP's and I just wanted a one day base ticket. Does anyone know if you can use AAA offices outside your home area to book a package?
The issue you may be experieincing is the amount of rooms available at the AAA rate are limited. Disney limits them. They sell out quick, so then you can't get it.
When you're using AAA to get the dining and the discount, you're not getting the room only, you're getting the package. You need one MYW ticket for every person on the reservation, plus dining. Don't even bother explaining the end result of what you want, this is why I hate AAA TAs by the way too many totally ignorant ones who refuse to listen as your viewed as some stupid customer who doesn't know about the travel industry as if its some huge secret how it all works, anyways, woah, sorry about that. I know there are lots of good ones!!! But gosh, there are lots of not so good ones.
Anyways, dont bother explaining what you're trying to do, just walk the TA through it nicely. Say hiya, i want this resort, i want the AAA discount on a package and with dining, can you see if its available?
she/he will call. They will give you the answer. If its no, the rate is sold out, try other dates or a dif resort. Remember, this isn't their fault if it happens and many don't even know the discount is a limited amount of rooms.
Now, you got your dates with a discount, (make sure you know what the undiscounted price is by doing it on the website yourself to compare and bring it with you, but you have to price the entire package because disney wont give you the breakdown, so magical).
They will ask something like what tickets and you want them for x amount of days, the person will usually make up some random number, i went for nine days and they said five for some reason, who knows. So, say no I would like 1 day tickets for each person please, dont even explain this before she/he is on the phone. They will then ask the person if you can do this, as more than likely they won't believe you. The person will say yes, assuming this is still the disney policy when you do this. Make sure they are base tickets only, again AAA tends to try and max the ticket type out automatically.
Now you've got all you need. You're set

. Make sure to ask for your diamond card.
I know this might seem extreme, but if you're really polite about it all they won't get all disagreey with you ( i know its not a word

) and you'll get what you want.
