Were heading out this weekend and were planning on going to LMA car show at HS. However now I'm thinking that maybe that might be a good idea. He has gotten much better at with fireworks etc. however still covers his ears. We went to a monster truck thing once and he did fairly well until this super sonic car came out and lost it.
So how loud dose this show get. I don't want to be trapped in a staidum with a screaming kid and no way to get out. unless you can have something like that add to a Guest Asst pass. I just don't want to make things unpleasent for anyone and can take my son to do other things while the rest go see the show. Thanks in advance for the help.

well you can hear some of the show on the out side by their store and they have some explosin. what you can do is ask the cm at the front explain to them and see if they can put you by an exit where you can leave during the show. or mybe you could see the show first since you be the best judge for your son and see where the best seat will be it a great show and if he can handle fireworks he should be okay. i dont want to give you bad advice and say take him and he dosnet like it and ruin his and your day and i dont want to tell you to skip it and he be fine only thing i can suggest is to talk nto the cm in front of the show mybe they can bring you in and see if he e okay and if he dosnt like it they can let you exit fast. i hope this help alittle and if not sorry the end get louder so mybe you can stay half way and try and leave because their gun shot fire and alot of noise from the cars during the whole show but get more intense oward the end.

My family just makes sure that we sit at the end of a row so that we can leave quickly if need be. We do this for all shows. With my son it's not as much the noise as it is being confined with so many people. Sitting on the end helps with this and if we have to we can easily leave.

When asked to move to the middle, I just say we really need to sit on the end and leave it at that. It's never been a problem.

my dd 6 is bothered by loud noices includint the popping wine pottles in mickey's phillamagic and fireworks. We bought her a child size pair of safety head phones. The name brand is peltor kids they were under 15$ shipped in under a week from us to canada and they work great...life at wdw is sooo much easier. We are carefull not to over use them (she would wear them everyday all day if allowed to) they are great for her.

Does he also have issues with smell? That show is loud but it also smells. We have seen the show 2x and I have no interest in seeing it again due to how much it stinks - it actually gives me a headache!

This is actually one of my sensory kids favorite shows! Ear muffs will probaly help out a lot. My dd loves the show and she just wears her muffs or covers her ears if her ears get too hot. I will say though, she can handle most sounds; her issues are more of a pitch thing. Chirping birds make her crazy, but deep tones are ok. We searched around for ear muffs and found the best selection at an outdoors mart like Bass Pro Shop or Gander Mtn. They have a huge selection and we just let dd try them on until she found a pair that fit her head and she liked. Thankfully, they had pink ones! :lmao: They do have many other colors too. We usually sit low since we use a GAC for her stroller.

My daughter used to not do well with fireworks but she did ok with this show. I set her on my lap and covered her ears, or you you get those little foam ear plugs they sell a drug stores or walmart.
