Question for 5/11 cruisers

Saw that Squiggle posted that Monday night was Formal/Character party in Atrium. Is this 2 seperate events? Or, do they go on at the same time. I was thinking that this would be a good night for Palo's....but don't want to miss too much! Please advise. Also.....how do I make the next 18 days pass quickly?????

Monday was formal night and all the characters were in the Atrium in their formal wear to join you and your families for portraits. They were available during the 2 dinner seatings for both early seatings and late seatings.
