Has anyone stayed at the Comfort Suites MG East. Looks good in the trip reports. Wondered about security, closeness to the 192 (is there a noise problem) and what is Old Town like. Any info would be much appreciated.

The Comfort Suites MG East is the best hotel in the 192 area in my opinion. It is a couple of hundred yards off the 192 so no noise or disturbance. The manager is a Welsh guy that has lived out there for about 15 years, so he understands the Brit market. The breakfast is wonderful for what they call a deluxe continental breakfast. The pool is beautiful, the poolside bar reasonable, the staff terrific. I have stayed in all the hotels (part of my job!) in the area, so my endorsement DOES have some merit! Enjoy!

Security isn't an issue, it's an interior corridored property, no problems whatsoever. Old Town is an interesting place to visit, but it wouldn't stand a visit every night! There's a good, busy bar there, lots of novelty shops and a cheap Chinese restaurant which isn't half bad! Saturday night in Old Town is quite cool!

Hi, thanks for the info. Just wondered do you have any knowledge about the transport they offer to the parks. We will not have a car so will rely on shuttles although are quite prepared to get taxis at times. Also you said that the hotel was set back off the road, can you hear traffic noise from the pool area. I only ask this because we stayed at a hotel "set back from I drive" only to find that something looking/sounding like the M25 roared past the back. Thanks

:earsgirl: I have stayed at Comfort Suites Maingate East and thought it was absolutely wonderful. This was my familie's first trip to Disney and I was nervous about finding a good, clean, comfortable, safe hotel. Luckily, we found a really good rate from HotelMartUSA for this hotel. I did a little research online and found that the hotel had really good reviews. And from my personal experience, all the good things that they said were true. I also enjoyed booking through HotelMartUSA because it made finding the perfect hotel a snap. Hopefully, you will enjoy your trip as much as my family did!

Very pleased to read this as we are planning on staying here in 2007!:sunny:
