Question: CA Summer AP Corner?

We’ll be in the parks next week. When doing my touring plan preparation, I read about some “Summer AP Corner” with “a variety of activity stations” currently being located “under Silly Symphony Swings.” We are not AP holders. We have in the past been using the seating by the water under Silly Symphony Swings as one of our favorite rest and decompression spots. It’s hard to tell from the map on the website how far the AP Corner reaches. Can those of you who have seen that area let me know if there is still seating for non-AP people or if that area is for right now inaccessible to the public, as well as if, in case that it is used for this purpose, if it becomes accessible after the Corner closes at 6pm or is closed off for non-AP people even then? Thanks in advance for any insights or observations that may help either reassure me or that help me emotionally prepare for the loss of yet another quiet spot.

We too loved that seating area, but when we were there in December, they had removed all the benches from that area. We could still walk under the Swings, but that was it. I forgot to look over the 4th to see if they’ve added the benches again. Hopefully someone can give a more recent update. That was a lovely cool spot to rest!

Too bad if it’s gone. No more Big Thunder Ranch. No more pretty little court yard in New Orleans’ Square. Disney really isn’t very kind to those of us who are sensitive introverts & benefit from occasional breaks from the noise and the crowds. They seem to look at those precious, quiet spots and see nothing more but missed money making opportunities...

If I'm remembering accurately, there is a little bit of bench seating under the swings, but you have to check in with an AP first, before entering the area. First there is a check in with a table to get the AP magnets and Lion King pins, then you walk a little ways (past the bench seating area) and there is a second table where you can purchase the Lion King ocarina cup, then there is a line for the AP photo op. We haven't made it that far around yet -- the line has always been too long -- but I think you'd be able to access the benches after AP corner closes. (Haven't tried this, but I don't see why not.)
Have you looked at the benches by the trail behind GRR? Now that the area is non-smoking, that trail is so much nicer.
