My family and I are going to WDW Aug. 22- 30. We've never been to WDW at this time of the year. Is it really crowded. We're hoping it'll be somewhat quiet.

No, its not crowded. Most people are back in school, so the crowds are fairly low and managable.

I am usually there around that time, and the crowds are very managable, there really aren't a ton of people there. Have fun!

How is the weather that time of year? How humid is it? Any clue what the heat index is like? I'm traveling with a family member with breathing issues and he struggles to breathe on bad heat index/air quality days.

It is crowded! I've been 4 years in a row in August! It is hot! Take breaks and get to the A/C attractions when you get hot. With free dining, I'm expecting it to be more crowded than in 2003 and 2004. It is not as crowded as the rest of the summer, but there are lots of people and long lines. It is not any hotter than the other summer months in Florida, though. Just my opinion and experience. Have fun!
