Hello,
So we just booked a trip for March 09 and were looking at the park operating hours trying to plan the best days to be at each park. I was hoping to plan around extra magic hours, but the website is fairly vague about these details. It states that the park opening and closings can vary from 1-3 hours past the normally scheduled time. Is there a way we can know which days the parks stay open 3 hours later vs. 1 hour. Is this determined by park? day of the week? season? crowds? I saw on the calenders which parks were assigned the morning and evening hours, but it does not denote a specific time frame for each.
Also, we have only been to DW one time in the past (in August 2007), and while we learned a lot that trip we feel there is still a lot to find out. Any tips about crowd avoidance, new attractions, places to eat, etc will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Generally speaking, Morning EMH means that particular park is open 1 hour before its scheduled opening. Evening EMH means that park is open 3 hours later than its scheduled closing. In practice, I don't think it is ever different than that, even though Disney tries to leave cushion room for itself by using the vague language you found.

I highly recommend the Unofficial Guide to Disney World if you don't have if already. It is full of information, and has touring plans to help you tour more efficiently, which is especially important if you are going during crowded times.

The Theme Park Strategies board will help you more than this particular board when you're looking for answers. It's like the third one listed on the main forum page.

Good luck, and welcome to Dis! :welcome:
