Question: Airfare from DFW to Orlando in December

I have been quoted a price of $235/person roundtrip for flights leaving DFW on Dec. 13 and returning Dec. 21st. This includes 1 checked bag per person and a priority boarding.

Is this a good deal? We have never flown in December so I am not familiar with pricing during that time frame. Based on past experiences, can anyone tell me if we could expect the prices to get lower or higher the closer to December we get? I wanted to compare to Southwest, but it looks like they are only taking bookings through October at this time.

Just trying to figure out if we should book now or wait it out.

Thanks in advance for any input/suggestions you can provide.

It sounds like a great fare to me! We fly from PHL and have sometimes paid north of $300, although we get some great deals too, so it evens out, especially with flexible dates. For instance, we paid $282.00 each for a SWA flight to WDW last July and $198 each in November. With one bag included in your fare, I think you've got a winner.

That is a fairly good price. We fly DFW to MCO but it has been awhile since we flew in December. I think that you still have plenty of time to wait to see if you can get a better price. I would at least wait until Southwest publishes fares for that time. I have regularly seen American lower prices slightly when Southwest releases new dates.

What company did you find the flights with at that price? I've been looking for a while and we are also flying out of Dallas in December 19 return on 26 and I haven't seen anything close to that price! Southwest releases the rest of there flights on Thursday so that's what I've been waiting for...
