Question: ADR trade and Dining Plan

Howdy,

I have a question about traded ADRs and DDP. A lovely Disboards member gave me her ressie for Le Cellier for my next trip. I know that I can physically check into the restaurant with her name and ADR number. My question is since I have Disney Dining plan, how will that work out. I have used dining plan before, and I know that you usually give your key to the world at the end of the meal. Will it be a problem that my key has a completely different name than the one I checked in with? Has anyone done this before or have any advice?

I'm going to say not a problem. We just got back on Saturday from a 10 day stay. When I made all of my ADR's, they were linked to my FIL's room reservation with his name. They departed half way through the trip and we stayed. All the reservations were in his name and we never once had a problem paying/using dining plan credits with our own room key and our own name. So you shouldn't have an issue. Enjoy!!

Thanks for your quick response. Was it the same last name for you and your FIL though? The name I would be giving is a completely different name.

Nope. Sorry should have said that. It is my husbands mothers second marraige which would be his step-father so his name was completely different from ours. Still had no problems!! Enjoy your steak. We didn't get to go there our last trip, it was booked!
