Hi everyone! This is my first post here but I have been lurking here for about 3 months, getting ready for our 12/5 Wonder cruise (our first cruise ever).

My question is - If you get the wine package, do you get to bring a bottle in your room or is it just given to you at the restaurants? If we want to have a bottle of wine in the room, do we need to bring it with us?

Thanks to all for all the wonderful advice and information I have received in planning our first Disney cruise!!!

As I recall, you can have your glass topped off before you leave the dinner table and walk around the ship with it. Many people did this. I don't know about asking for the bottle, but they will recork it and bring it to your next dinner seating. Hope this helps ya. Congrats on your 1st cruise. I don't think that you will be disappointed. :jumping4:

You are buying 7 bottles from specific groups for a preset price. We were on the NYE cruise last year (this year?) and they even had us pre-order our champagne in the dining room, which they gave to us at the end of dinner on NYE to take with us. I think they don't care where you drink the bottle of wine, they prefer you buy the wine you do drink from them. So you can ask to take an already opened bottle with you, or ask for one of your seven to take with you unopened. It took us 2 meals to finish a bottle of wine, so we found it cheaper to buy the 3 bottles we wanted, plus a bottle of champagne for NYE. The champagne, and 2 bottles of Martinellis sparkling cider we bought for the kids were the only bottles over any beverage we ever took out of the dining room. We found everything we needed for between meal beverages at the Beverage station, for free.

We also bought the wine package on our Oct.2004 cruise. You can take the opened bottle of wine with you. If you want, you can order 2 bottles at dinner and have them leave one corked. Then you can open it in your stateroom. You can order the cheese platter from room service and ask for a wine opener (sometimes they don't understand corkscrew). If you don't finish the 7 bottles, you can take any un-opened bottles with you.

Thanks so much for all the information!! I knew I'd get the answer I needed from this great and informative board!! I'm REALLY looking forward to spending a little time drinking a good glass of wine on our verandah after the kiddies are asleep!! :cool1:

We're leaving in 5 days for Orlando and will be on the 12/5 cruise. I can't believe it's almost here!!!! :Pinkbounc

Thanks again!

You can do anything you want with the wine package, I like white my husband likes red, so we always had 1 bottle of each opened, we took 1 bottle back with us to have in our cabin, and we had 1 bottle left so we ordered the fairy tale sparkling wine, and took it home with us......
