O.K. I had booked a guaranteed cabin for our 7.9.05 cruise. It checking our reservation this morning, we FINALLY got our cabin assignment, not sleeping on deck chairs anymore!!! We got assigned 6556, which is a GERAT midship location and non-connecting, so really a good cabin. My concern is that there is a white area located directly behind this cabin. My guess is that it is some sort of crew area, or stairwell and I want to know if anyone knows for sure what it is. I don't want it to be too loud, though with my guarantee status, my great cabin location shouldn't be diminished. Also, has anyone stayed in this room, or nearby? We've sailed DCL Twice, but in the same cabin 6616, which is located in a similiar location as this one, but aft. Thanks!

It looks like it is the stair and elevator area across from you. There is a wall separating, so I wouldn't be too concerned. Those that have had these rooms have reported being a great location with minimial noise. Have fun.

Thanks Gilesfamily for that page! I too had never seen that before, and it was fun reading up on the stateroom we will have next year! YIPEE!
