Question about Whistler

We're planning to ski at Whistler this coming December or January and I know things can change between now and then, but was wondering what the mask/vaccine policies are. Are restaurants open? Are mask required everywhere? Is proof of vaccinations required to do everything? Thanks in advance.

I have no idea what next Dec. will look like but in BC the mask and vaccine requirements have ended (the vaccine requirement for restaurants just ended on Friday). All the restaurants are open.

As of today masks are not provincially required. However, individual businesses have the right to implement mask policies in their businesses. The passport ended last week I believe. As for December, who knows! : )

No masks, no vaccine passports. Pools and hot tubs at the hotels and main condo rental complexes are crazy. Went up last week for lessons for the kids (we are BC locals). We masked, kept mostly to ourselves and ate in our condo. Everyone 12+ is vaxxed and booster, and the littles are fully vaxxed. Still contracted covid. It’s a mess. We’ve travelled internationally 3 times in the last 5 months, and felt perfectly safe. Whistler was just plain gross.

As mentioned in BC masks and vaccine passport is over but individual business can still require it. How knows what next Dec will bring. My brother-in-law was there almost 2 months ago and came back with Covid. I’d still mask and take precautions.
