We are off to WDW for the 8th time in October. Myself, my DH and DD (16) are all vegetarian and my 2 DS's (14) are picky eaters. We have had a number of meals at the Crystal Palace as the buffet has something for all of us. However, this time we would like to try somewhere different. What we need is somewhere that caters for veggies (no meat, no fish) but will have plain fare such as burgers or chicken strips for the boys. We don't mind if there are characters or not.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

have you checked out the menus at www.allearsnet.com (under the dining heading)? if not, i recommend them...

as far as somewhere "different" i have heard great reviews of boma at animal kingdom lodge... we'll be dining there on our next visit :)

I have looked at the menus but was hoping for some advice from those who have been to places so we can look at menus again with this in mind. We 3 veggies eat quite a wide selection of food but the boys can be trickier to please if there isn't plain fare available.

bumping in the hope of some more suggestions.

I would recommend Artist Point. It's very nice!!! I just checked and they do have a vegetarian offering, that's if the boys will eat a chicken breast with mac and cheese. (they will mix and match the side dishes if you want something other than the one with your meal) The Berry Cobbler is really yummy

I just looked up a bunch of restaurants and if you're boys will eat a steak or chicken breast, almost every restaurant I saw had that and vegetarian choice.

We also like Le Cellier.

I believe in the Dining Reviews of allearsnet.com there is a dinner review of Artist Point for vegetarians. They had wonderful comments, CG got a good review too I believe. Those are a bit more expensive meals, but very good. If there are specific places you want to try and they don't list an option that appeals to you don't be afraid to ask, many have said the chefs love to wihp up something special. Similarly I know of many who have asked for very simple food for other party members and have been as satisfied with how that was handled.

I forgot to add - if you go to Artist Point and you eat/like cheese, try the Tillamook mac and cheese. That is DH home town and they know how to make some good cheese. Also - they have a salad that has blue cheese and pear, we love that too.
