If I purchased tickets last month at a higher price than what they are now, can I get credit? I've been reading all these posts about "fares dropping" and people reminding others to get their "credit" I was wondering how it worked.

Thanks...

Yes, most airlines will give you a credit, voucher or refund. It depends on the airline.

I booked through Jetblue. They give you a credit that is good for up to 1 1/2 years for a future flight.

Many others do that too.

I think Southwest gives you a refund on your credit card.

You'll have to contact them to find out.

Also, I believe if you book through a travel website like Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity etc...you cannot get any kind of credit or refund.

Thanks!

That's what I thought; just wanted to be sure!

This is really confusing.

SW and JetBlue appear to be the easiet. For the others......the exact same fare class has to be availalbe on YOUR flight. Otherwise you can be charged a rebooking fee of $100 or so. All you can do is call and ask.
