We are planning a 7-nights sea/land package in Oct.05. We would like to stay in Animal Kingdom Lodge for the experience. We will be using the magic express service from the airport so we will be inside the resort only using wdw transportation system. Since Animal Kingdom Lodge is so far away from everything else (other than Animal Kingdom), how convenient is using the wdw transportation system time wise (i.e. will it take an hour to get back to AK Lodge from the Magic Kingdom for a nap?)? Any help will be greatly appriciated. :earsboy:

The bus service from AKL is excellent. It is the only deluxe that doesn't share with any other resort.

The trip to MK is only about 15 minutes.

The mid day busses sometimes are a problem. Since we were usually the only ones in line for the bus, it seemed that the "every 15-20 minutes" started when we arrived at the bus stop because we seem to wait the full 20 minutes almost every time. (Or it could be me usual bad luck that we just missed the bus every time). Or it may have seemed that long since there are no benches to sit down at the MK bus depot.

Anyway, the non stop feature is great. I don't think I could handle staying at CSR stopping 67 times in the resort.

Beleve me, stopping inside a resort is NOT fun!!! We just got back from CBR. After waiting 10 mins for an Epcot Bus (We were at Martinique, which has ongoing bus stop construction), It took us another 20 mins to go through all the other "islands" before we finally made it out to the "main road" (name slips me now). Busing from AKL shouldn't be too bad as long as you travel during the "rush times" (8am-11am); (3pm-6pm); (Park Close)
