Question about water parks

I've been to WDW plenty of times, but never to a water park. In all honesty, I'm fairly shy about my body plus I get burned very easily.

But this year we are talking about checking them out. Do they allow you to wear a tshirt on the slides and other attractions?

Yes. I wear them all the time. You shouldn't have any problems.

Someone recently asked this question because their niece is Islamic and needs to be covered. The staff at BB told them she could wear whatever she wanted, as long as there were no metal parts, like rivets on jeans. T-shirts are ok.

Yup! Where whatever you feel comfortable in and just have a great time!

Just a reminder that as far as the sun is concerned there is very little SPF in a wet white t-shirt. Be sure to suncreen and have fun.


I have never been a fan of bathing suits because of my size. A couple years ago we went to Six Flags and I was determined to have fun in the water so I put on my bathing suit and promptly covered up in a white t-shirt. My husband took a picture of me way out in the pool--A huge white blob. Last year we went again but this time I braved just wearing my bathing suit. Again my husband took a simular picture, but guess what. I was hardly noticed. I blended in with everyone else. So this year at WDW I'm going to brave it and have fun with just my bathing suit on.

There are all sizes at both BB and TL. Speaking for myself, I never felt uncomfortable in my bathing suit at either park and usually I wear a sundress over my suit at the beach.

Well, it's not my size that bothers me, I just have a few extra pounds but who doesn't! It's just that I'm pretty hairy and I'm very self-concious of that fact and how people feel about it.

As for the metal rivets, I have a couple Abercrombie & Fitch swimming trunks that I believe have a couple small rings type things in the fabric, I'll need to check if they are metal or plastic.
