Question About visitor at VWL

We will be staying at the VWL in 2 weeks. A friend wants to come visit for the day. Will the security at the front let him in?
Do I need to mention this at the front desk at check in?
He will not be staying the night - jsut visiting for the day?
any suggestions???

To assure he can enter you need to give his name to the front desk and day of arrival and ask them to make sure gate security has the name. Whether you do it at check in or close to day he is coming does not matter although often it helps to do both just in case after check in the notation gets lost.

I told the guard at the front gate that I would be having a visitor and she said they'd need to show photo ID. I also told the front desk, but it didn't seem that they made a note of it. My DD's friend visited us for the day and her father dropped her off and picked her up without any problems.
