Question about Vacation "Payoff" date

What happens if you are not able to pay the total due by the date Disney gives you? We will be about $200 off of having it paid off, will they give us an extesnsion?

Are you going during/with a promo like FD that gave you an advantage to book a package? If not, you can change to a room only reservation and you have until 6 days out to pay. You can always add tickets at arrival. The only draw back is, I don't believe you can do the dining plan since that option is for packages only. Your other option would be to put the remaining balance on a credit card that you are short and pay it off as soon possible.

I think if you don't have it paid off 45 days out, they can cancel your reservation.

If you call them plenty ahead of time and explain, they should be able to work with you on that small of an amount. I had some money on hold at the bank in Oct and if it hadn't come avail at the time of payoff, they would have given me some more time, I believe a week if I remember correctly.

Room only, you have to pay first night only and then you pay the rest at check in. You can't add dining to a room only at check in, but you can add it 72 hours prior to check in.

I was waiting for my Disney Rewards dollars card (with $465 on it) to pay off the balance of my trip, and my TA said it was fine to wait. They don't announce it, but they'd rather you made the kept the reservation and make the last payment a bit later than cancel your trip completely...

Thanks you guys and yes I did do a package with dining. I will call them and hopefully they will be ok with it.

I called them and they gave us an extension, said it was completely fine and not a big deal at all!
