Question about Vacation Packages

I'm interested in the Celebration of Harry Potter and since I never purchased a vacation package in my life, my question is, do you have to pay the full amount of your vacation package the minute you book it?

I ask since as people have said on here, it sells out quickly, and on the website itself even warns that it might as well, however, I cannot afford to purchase it completely right now, but probably would by the time the event happens.

The potter package for the January gala event sells out quick

Is this the package you are talking about?

Never mind atricks just posted the link for it

Not something I would go to but there are many fans that are probably booking now

Packages require a deposit and the balance paid in full before arrival

Call and find out the deadline all monies would be due

This celebration of potter does sell out

As much as I would love to go it seems unrealistic for me to go this year. Right now I'm saving for current trips I'm going in October (which I didn't find out until recently) so realistically I shouldn't be spending the money I have now on a deposit, even if I'd probably be able to afford to pay the balance before I arrive. And by the time I can pay for a deposit, it will probably be sold out already. I'd love to be in the park during the time though, but I feel as if I won't be able to really experience anything close that is promised with the vacation package, right? I mean, a lot of those things are exclusive to people who make the vacation package purchase.

The website says that it must be paid in full at the time of booking so that gets me out even if I could save up $2,000 to blow on this by then...no way...I could go on a 7 night cruise for that much $ :sad2:

Must be paid in full at the time of booking?! Yep, definitely out then. Must be nice for the people who are able to do that at one fell swoop. Guess next time I need to make sure I'm saving up and plan on spending some serious money in the summer for something that happens in the winter. :joker:

We are leaving in...OMG 2 hours!!! LOL
We took the Harry Potter exclusive vacation package and added the meal plan on top of it. At first we booked 3 nights at RP then realized our reservation and called back to add the other package and with that came a shutterbug and 2 breakfasts. We had the vacation planned anyways so this was better for us.
Now, could we have done better? Absolutely but we paid it off, everything is waiting for us and we don't have to travel with a card or cash and no surprises when we come back.
Initial deposit was done and we paid on our card until the due date was and the final payment was automatically made and email confirmation followed.
Now we just need to pack the car and start driving

I love it when homies come on to tell us buh bye when leaving on their trip

Safe travels
Have fun

There are some exclusive things. There are other things where you simply have a different, or reserved place to sit. What's important to you?

You can go to a lot of the events without ANY package. You just have to wait in line.

We didn't even know it was happening when we booked our stay in 2014, ended up in the PBH club lounge with a bunch of people working on it, saw Evanna Lynch at the hotel and even randomly met her in IOA. And we attended none of the events.

Going to the events where you see the actors, as well as the event in which you get to see the props and what not from the film are the main elements that are important to me. I never thought I'd be able to do these type of things, as usually you see the actors are events like Comic Con (which I never get to have enough money to travel to go to) and the Warner Bros tour is in London and there is noway I'd be ever to go there.
