Question About Using MDE app for FP+

Our ADR times on the MDE app are not correct. They all appear 1 hour earlier than we actually reserved on the MDE web site. I know this is a system glitch.

My question is - If we use the MDE app to make FP+ reservations, does the system look at the incorrect ADR times on the app (in terms of determining the 2-hour blackout of FP after an ADR)? Or will it look at the correct ADR reservation times that show up in MDE on the Disney web site?

This is something I didn't know... if I have an ADR for 6pm, I can't get a FP+ before 8pm?

What about the reverse.. let's say I make an FP+ for 7:30, can I not make an ADR for 6pm?

Hard to say. I don't think the reverse is true- I don't think it blocks you from making ADRs, but as far as making a FP+ within 2 hours of your time, I think it depends on how WDW has tweaked the system on any given day. Multiple people have reported that the system has not let them book FP+ within 2 hours of an ADR, multiple other people have reported that the system picks times for them right in the middle of an ADR. I've seen both things reported from Disers there in the same time period and fairly recently. When we were there a couple of months ago, it was giving us times right in the middle of ADRS, but then warning us they conflicted. You could still book them if you wanted though. We definitely had FP+ set within 2 hours of ADRs with no issues. Others have not been able to do that.

To your magic band (or however this new system works)? We are going late April/early May and will have a few dining reservations. I don't want to have to worry about working my FP+ times around my ADRs (which are already made). I'm obviously not going to schedule a FP+ at the same time I have a dining reservation.

I think if you are making your dining reservations under your confirmation number for a resort stay, then it will automatically link to your MagicBand. When I made my dining reservations last year, they were listed in my MDE because of the resort confirmation number.
