QUESTION about using a PIN :)

I got one today (!!!) and I am thinking about cancelling my beginning of oct. trip in favor of taking advantage of this pin and booking for december. My question is this: if the PIN offer says "For a family of 4. For stays most nights 8/23/09-10/1/09 and 11/29/09-12/17/09 in a standard room."

Does this mean my stay must end by 12/17, or that it must begin by 12/17?

I know for free dining, even if the first night of your stay is the last night of the promotion, the promotion is valid for the length of your stay up to a certain amount of nights. Is the same true for these PINs?

I apologize is this is a stupid question. I've never spent much time on the "Code and Rates" board, since I've never recieved a pin before but I am hoping someone who is more familiar with the fine print here can help me out. TIA!

You will receive the offer as long as you check in by the 17th. Also, that family of 4 jargon is just for advertisement purposes. You can book at any resort with availability with any family size.

Not a stupid question at all! Congrats on the PIN!
We received the Goofy PIN in April, for FD at value or moderate, for fall dates, and then in small print call for other avaiablility in Nov/Dec ( I think it said 12/17) anyway, I called and booked our trip to START on 12/17 to see what would happen. The offer of FD for our entire trip( 12/17-12/27)so, we are checking IN on the last day of the offer, and receive FD on regular DP for the duration of our stay. Our offer had to be booked by 5/23...looks like not that many took advantage of the small print, since they are now offering it again!

I received the 40% off code and I checked into dates that started right before the dates on the pin ended, and the only discount they were going to give me was only for the dates listed on the pin. I would double-check before you cancel your other trip!

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but room only discounts are different from packages. If you book a package (the free dining pin is package), you get the deal for the length of stay. With a 40% room discount pin, you only get the discount for the nights that are available.

My experience is a bit different than some of the others. I got a Goofy code for adults at kid prices. I've booked my trip to start on December 17 and it does extend for my entire stay, but there are blackout dates where it doesn't apply. It's only a couple of days, but they are still there.

Basically, call and check with a CM. If you don't like the answer you get, you can hang up and call back and try to get another answer. You won't necessarily get a different answer, but it doesn't hurt to try. I do suspect that what others have said about package vs room only discounts is true though; package discounts will extend beyond the date and room only ones won't. Just a hunch.

Whatever you do, make sure you've got your new trip booked to your satisfaction before you cancel the old one.

I called, and the offer was valid for my length of stay. The offer itself tecnically ends the 17th butI will be stayin thru the 21st. My CM was very helpful.

So excited!

Now, all the planning I did for October goes out the window, and I have a whole new project planning for December.

If its a dining pin you get it for the entire trip even if it goes past the dates because the system cant charge for partial nights dining. If its a room discount pin it doesnt matter if its room only or a package it is only discounted the nights of the promo
