Does anyone know why there is no TS restaurant in the USA? All the other countries have one in addition to CS, and some like Japan and France, have two. CS is essentially 'fast food' and I don't to send out the faulty message that America only has fast food. :confused3 There are are dozens of dishes original to the country that could be served. What are you're thoughts?

I respectfully disagree with that. Of all that should not have TS or CS its the USA. These are my reasons:

  • :woohoo:You are in the USA, and can find really good American food at nearly all the parks and resorts
:woohoo:People from foreign countries can experience the "american" flavors also at many other places. They need not rely on the USA pavillion to give them a sampling.
:woohoo: Only the uninformed will think that USA is only about 'fast food' America is known as the melting pot of the world, and the food here is very diverse and ethnic.

I understand what you say about the uninformed bit, but a guest cannot experience as large a cultural sample as in the other countries. This may be true, but still, the USA pavilion doesn't display the culture of our country as widely as it could in comparison to other countries. Food, like music and literature, is part of a culture, and I think a TS restaurant woul dbe a nice addition.

I'll add that I agree also with being able to find American food elsewhere, I just think that it would be good to see it in a logical place for it to be represented, in addition to the current locations.

I like the idea of a TS there somewhere. I would suggest dividing the calendar up into 2 or 4 month intervals and change the menu to offer regional specialties from a certain part of the country for those 2 or 4 months. That would be cool.

I agree. I think the original purpose of World Showcase was to show off countries of "the world" not focus on America. Americans would and should be encouraged to eat something different, as opposed to typical fast-food theme park fare, and guests from other countries could do the same. Just because there are many traditional dishes in America, the goal is to absorb the culture of someplace else.

I would like to see something like this too. I know there was a discussion on here a couple of months ago about this.

I think that this is a good idea as well. It would be a good way to try dishes that you are not familiar that are more popular in other parts of the country.
