We bought 5 day park hoppers and want to upgrade to an annual pass on Saturday (since this is a blacked out day). Where do we go to do this?

Thanks!
Alison

Main Street bank is correct. Veer to the right after you enter the parks and it is on your right hand side.

I recomend you keep your reciept for the upgrade with you for the day. They will back date your hopper to the first day you used your hopper. They may question you at the gate if you hop or take a break and leave the park.

Thanks for the info. We may wait until Sunday to upgrade then. We're only there for a 1/2 day on Sunday so thought it'd be better to get it out of the way on Sat, but may be easier to just wait!

But, if you do it on Saturday you can get the dinning discounts! Its really not a big deal, and they might not even question you. I upgraded on a Saturday. One cm out of 2 at DL questioned me, and the one at DCA didnt even bat an eye.

That brings up a question. Is there a list of restaurants that offer the discount? I have heard they are limited?

Thanks!

Which would be the best way at getting a AP?Im looking at getting 2 premium AP....but when i go on my trip, i want the AP discount for the disneyland hotel...so0o0 would i get the park hoppers and then upgrade them at the park to AP, would that be cheaper? maybe if i got a hotel package deal or something? or sould i just buy the premium AP at the disney store and activate them in the park and use the AP to get my discount for the DLH? tips? advice?

you have to show your ap card when you check in so whatever you decide make sure you have it before then...

Really? I made reservations back in Nov 2006 for a 2 night stay, and i was checking in at the end of DEC and asked the lady if i could get the AP discount but i wont have it until i arrive, the lady applied the discount to my Reservation and said not to worry, as i wont be charged for the room until the day of checkout, so if i dont have it right away it would be ok.
That trip was sadly cancelled due to my girlfriend getting sick and we have to post-pone it for quite some time, but shes getting better, and im planning a 3 night stay instead of 2 with fantasmic buffet and all the fixens of a dream stay at DL sometime in october or november.

The cost of an ap is always the same, upgrading a hopper will not save you any money. Most people do it so that they can have early entry (not staying onsite). If you know you are getting an a/p you can either buy it at the disneystore (if you are lucky enough to live near one) or do it at the park. You will need it at the hotel to get the discount. I'm sure that if you dont have it at check in they will allow you time to take care of it. Do note however, the hotel discount is not great and not always the best way to go. Sometimes they offer deep discounts on rooms, but typically its 10% rack, which is often higher the just booking through some place like expedia.

Almost everyplace (restaurant- not merchandise) in the park offers 10% off. Outdoor vending carts do not offer it, as well as the Royal street veranda in NOS. Those were the only places I found that did not offer it. Oh, and club 33, but its not most of us are going there anyway!

For us we are doing it because AP's have Saturdays blocked when we are going. So we'll use Hoppers till after saturday and then upgrade.
