question about upgrading tickets

i am taking my DD 8 to disney for 4 days this year . I am buying a 10 day no exp park hopper for myself. My question is If i purchase her a 10 day child tix also, and we dont return again until after she turns ten, how much is it to upgrade from a kids tix to a adult tix?

I emailed Disney about this. Believe it or not, they will upgrade the unused portion of a child's ticket to an adult ticket at no charge!!! What a deal!!!!

i'm tempted to buy ds two child tix and have him use each of them for a few days and save the rest for future trips! wish i had thought of it last year for dd!
