Question about Universal's Quick Service Plan

Okay so I have another question about the QS plan at Universal concerning kids. If I purchase one day for our family (3A, 1C) I am assuming that our one child has to order food from a vendor that offers kids meals? Only asking because a lot of the new areas in City Walk and Simpson's area do not a offer kids menu so wondering how we would make that work for our family. I know at Disney if you pick a QS that does not offer a kids menu the child is allowed to order off the adult menu, but that might be comparing apples to oranges here. Anyways just curious how this works for kiddos. Thanks!
