When you order from the menu, you can share your food or purchase something separate. If you're eating at a buffet, they are allowed to eat from the buffet for free.

Children under 3 are always free at "admission" meals (buffets, family-style, dinner shows), regardless of whether or not you're on the dining plan.

Everywhere else -- they're generally assumed to be eating off your plates. While it's possible a TS restaurant might bring out a little something for them at no charge (especially if you have other kids eating with you), it's generally unwise to plan on that happening.

You can, of course, order extra out-of-pocket. It's generally unwise to "up-age" an under-3 child to get them on a dining plan (exception: on QSDP, if you're already planning on getting them an extra kids' meal each time).

We took DD at 2 and again at almost 3 years-old. We found that there was plenty for her to eat (and we're big eaters). Most of the time we ate buffets or family service and it was a huge savings since she is a good eater, too. We enjoyed Ohana, Beirgarten, Crystal Palace, Cinderella's Castle breakfast, and the HDDR. She was free for all of them.

You are on the deluxe plan - there should be more than enough to feed a pack of under three year olds just off everyone else's plates at the table. There's no way I'd pay out of pocket for even one meal if there was that much food sitting on the table.

when we went with our 2 year old we used snack credits for her breakfast and ordered maybe 2 or 3 meals OOP for her, and we just shared the rest. However we were on the QSDP. On Deluxe I cannot imagine that you will need to pay any OOP meals for her. I think you'll have plenty of food to share between the 3 of you.

I agree! We love the DxDDP, but always have tons of food left over every meal. Don't forget you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert every meal. Plus if you are at a buffet, she gets her own plate anyway. No way I would pay OOP for an under three y/o if on the DxDDP. You are going to be throwing alot of food away anyway. There will be plenty for her to eat and still have alot left over. Get her an empty plate and let her graze off your meals.
