Question about ulcers

I'm sure there are people here who suffer from ulcers. I was wondering if I could ask a question.

What type of symptoms did you have leading up to your diagnosis of an ulcer?

I have had acid reflux disease for several years now from taking oral chemotherapy for 3 yrs - tore my esophagus up! But lately the burning has intensified in my lower chest/stomach area and Nexium isn't touching it.

What brought you to the doctor that lead to your diagnosis?

I have never had an ulcer, but DD has. We took her to the doctor because it got so bad that she could not keep any food or liquid down. She complained that her stomach hurt when it was empty, but when she tried to eat or drink nothing would stay down. I have heard others say that the pain is there when thay have an empty stomach. Don't know if this helped much, but good luck.

My stomach hurt when it was empty, but felt better after I ate.
Also I was eating Rolaids like they were candy. Plus my mom always had stomach problems so she made me go to the doctor.

I would recommend seeing a doctor.
