My family and I will be in Orlando Dec. 4-11. We are doing Disney for a few days, Seaworld, and Universal/IOA. We were planning on Universal and IOA on Friday. Since this is an off peak season do you think we can see both parks in one day? We have older teenagers so I think we can move around the parks quickly.

We've done it twice, with two kids, age 7 and 6. The first time was in July, and we stayed on site and had FOTL, and with their ages and heights, couldn't do the big coasters. We were tired at the end of the day, but didn't rush through and had a great time.

We just did it again in November, with another family and their DD age 7. This time we were offsite, but bought the express pass for US. We also did the coasters, trading off the kids. Again, very manageable. We didn't run and rush, but again were tired.

Both times, it was a lot of fun at the end of the day to count up the rides we did- it was amazing how many rides we went through in one day. Our schedules both times demanded just one day for both parks, but in the future, I'd love to split it up in to 2 - mainly that you just went in to sensory overload by the end of the day. We were numb to 3-D, and truly couldn't stand to be jossled or jiggled anymore.

You probably won't be able to fit in all the shows and do all the rides. Also, I would recommend starting in IOA. The walking was very manageable for us, and I'm sure with teenagers will be even easier.

I wish we were going back with you- have a wonderful time :D

I've done it a few times, doing the thrill rides mostly.
If you arrive to IOA before they open, and you're first into the park, you can be done in 3 hours. Then you walk over to USF and do the major rides there.
You won't be able to see all the shows, and you'll probably wait an hour to see Shrek, but it can be done. Use single rider line for the Mummy and MIB when you get over to USF.

My family did both parks in one day on Nov. 10th and my kids our 8 & 9. We got to Universal at 10 am and by 3 pm still had not done Shrek 4D and 2 other rides but we had to leave in order to get in IOA before 6 pm closing. IOA was awesome however you do get very wet on the water rides and I wouldn't want to have walked around Universal without a change of clothing. None of us do the major coasters but managed to get everything else in. However, we did feel rushed at IOA and definitely will do the 2 park 2 day pass next time. One thing, there were hardly any lineups for the rides at IOA and I'm sure my son could have done the Dudley D0-Rights Ripsaw Falls over and over without stopping.
