Question about trip insurance???

I just booked the free dining package for four days in the middle of September. I have never booked a package through Disney and I have some questions about the trip insurance. I understand that it will allow you to cancel your trip last minute but what about problems that may occur when you are already there? I am considering this only because it is hurricane season. I assume this wouldn't cover your airfare so it would really just be for your room and park tickets. If you were stuck in Orlando you would need the hotel so that part would be fine. I was thinking that I could just upgrade my tickets so they wouldn't expire so it wouldn't matter if they parks were closed. Does anyone have any ideas?

What about buying trip insurance independently? I have done this for cruise vacations but never Disney. Would this type of trip be cover? Would hurricanes be covered?

Help!!

:)

If you purchase the Disney insurance you will get a brochure of all it covers
There is another website that has some side by side comparison of insurance for vacations www.insuremytrip.com You can get some ideas there.

Keep in mind that if you purchase Disney insurance that a) it is non-refundable once you pay the deposit and b) it cannot be added after you make your final payment on your package.

I have used Insuremytrip.com for cruise insurance before. Is there any place I can find the brochure that Disney would send you? I would like to know what it covers before I purchase it.

I am interested in this also. I booked a package through Disney back in March, I got our airline tickets but nothing on the travel insurance, I would kind of like to know what I bought :earseek:
