Hello! We're staying at the POFQ next month, but my mom decided to book the airline tickets a day before that stay. She also booked a room for one night at the pop, which means the next morning we would want to hustle over to POFQ to get our tickets and get out to the parks. What is the best way to get over there? My mom has considered renting a taxi, as she talked to 2 different CMs and one told her there would be transportation for the luggage switch, another told her he didn't really know. any tips? Thanks!

tricia.

Disney will switch the luggage. A taxi might be easier because there is no hotel to hotel bus so you would have to go to a park and then take the bus to the next resort.

Your best bet is take a bus from Pop to MGM, then take the POFQ bus at MGM to the resort. Probably the fastest way to get there that is free.

Mead transportation is my favorite way to go. For a flat rate of $20-$25 you can have a towncar take you anywhere in WDW. We did this for my parents anniversary so they didn't have to drive out to dinner. If you dont know, a towncar is a nice spacious car...just have them transfer your luggage (Disney does it for free) and take one of these puppies over. Probably cheaper than a taxi, though Im not sure how much Taxi rates go for.

$20-$25 sounds kind of steep. POP is not far from POFQ. Could this be it depends on how many people in the car? We stayed at ASMo and switched to POFQ with taxi (which is further away) and it cost us about $15 or was it $15 including tip.

Anyways.. the faster and easiest to get there and not worry about when the bags will get to your next resort would be to pay. There were a few times when we checked in to our second resort, the room would be ready. And I am so glad that our bags are with us so we can change to our swimming suits and get settled in and have an access to our bags. VS. if you choose for Disney to take care of your bag, and if you forget something in the bag, you would have to wait at their mercy or go back to your old resort.

I just did this, a at the last minute I called and changed my resort. I just took my luggage at 6 am and they got me a cab, and I went to the other resrort, luggage in tow. the cab cost 10 bucks and my room was all ready. so by 615 I was in the WL with my luggage and it was like I never changed resorts!
