question about trading for DVC through II

I am trying to get a DVC week on a trade through II with another timeshare I own (trying to save points). I'm wondering if it is possible to check in a day later than the reservation starts, if you let Member Services know? It is only possible to reserve an entire week, but I don't know if I can make it down there for a whole week, and I know I could check out a day early, but can I check in a day late? I'm wondering for airfare purposes...

Nevermind, I answered my own question by calling MS. For anyone else wondering this same thing--they said it is not a problem to check in a day late, but you should call them in advance and let them know so they will hold your room.

I've done it. You need to let them know and if you get the DDP, pay the entire 7 days for all in the party no matter how few days you stay.
