We are booked in October in a 2 bedroom at BLT, it will be our first trip home! I'm so excited. We are going with some friends and their kids. Will we be able to all go up to the lounge or just our family?

Obviously we are not going to ditch them and hang out up there all the time or anything, but I would definitely like to check it out at least once. It would be nice to be able to all go up there together, but I don't want to have it be an uncomfortable situation and them get turned away.

If they are staying with you at the BLT on your points reservation, they should be able to join you and your family at the TOTWL. But if they are staying elsewhere or on a cash reservation, they will not be allowed to go up. Unless the CM at the elevator allowst them to join you. Maybe, maybe not.

The Kids may enjoy the Community Hall while adults go to TOTWL. There are video games and other fun things there.
You can also get a good view of fireworks on an upper floor north elevator lobby. There is a settee in each.

Just FYI, kids are not allowed in the community center without an adult or family member over 15 yo. We witnessed this first hand earlier this month. We were there with our granddaughter and the CM went around and asked that the kids there point out who their "adult" was. They could not, so by the time the CM was done, we were the only family there. (Wanted to add that DVC does offer free babysitting when the parents are doing the BLT tour and purchasing process. Those children are registered and wear nametags until the parents are done.)

OP, everyone staying on your reservation will be allowed to go to the roof for viewing. We have taken family with us on this past trip and an earlier trip in May. All of our room cards say DVC member and it's never been a problem. Our family went up on several different evenings.

Thats good news, thanks! They are staying in our room with us so it sounds like it shouldnt' be a problem.

We were just there at the Lounge on Nov. 26 and it was doing very good business, most all of the seats were filled, so the early reports of it being practically empty seem to no longer apply. We had a drink and relaxed, walked out to the patio on the MK side to see Wishes and walked to the other side to see the Electrical Water pagaent. Very nice to see it all away from the crowds.

Is there a minimum age to get into TOTWL? We are headed to BLT in 3 weeks and would love to see Wishes from here but my children are only 3, 6 and 9. Just wondering since alcohol is served. TIA :)

No age limit as long as parents are with them. :thumbsup2

Good to hear but hopefully it is drawing more customers during non-holiday/peak times.

:)
