Question about timing and FP+

Hi -

The only time slot I was able to get for TSMM was 4:15 - 5:15. A diner reservation I was hoping to get opened for 4:40, so I booked it (Hollywood & Vine). If I am at TSMM right when the FP+ window opens, should I have enough time to get to the dinner reservation?

Thanks!

Barely. And if the FP line is long (which it can be) you will be late for your ADR. Even if things go perfectly you will be booking it to your ADR around 4:30, which is when you are supposed to be arriving at your ADR. Me, I would be too stressed with the time crunch to enjoy the ride much.

You might be a bit late for the ADR if the FP line is backed up, but since "everyone is late at WDW," I wouldn't sweat it.

If you want, you could stop by H&V around 3:45-4:00PM and explain to the CM at the check-in desk that you WILL be arriving, but you might be a bit late
due to the FP situation.

And yes, arrive at the TSMM FP+ line 5 minutes early.

Thanks everyone!

I hadn't thought of doing this, but it is a great idea. Thanks!

Keep in mind that if you are late, there is the chance of the restaurant not being able to accommodate you. Robo makes it sound like it will be fine and dandy, no matter what. That is not always the case. They will seat you if they can BUT you won't know ahead of time. You shouldn't be so late that they decline to seat you, but none of us can tell you ahead of time that you will for sure be ok.

While I don't support the idea of not keeping to your schedule... remember if you are late, you might screw up some one else's plans... You are also not the only one with a FP, nor are you the only one who has ever had this problem. Despite some of Disney Rules Police that make everything seem cut and dry... remember Disney is there to make you happy, not look for excuses to tell you no. See my signature.. they can't hit you, so go ahead and ask. (best advice I have ever gotten in life)
