Question about tickets with free dining

Well I dont see why he couldnt.I am sure some here will say that no it cant be done. But I really dont see a problem with this one at all.I would call and see what they say.
But you can call 15 times and talk to 15 diffrent CMs and get 15 diffrent answers,LOL
Myself & DD both have AP's. If we book free dining with the 1 day base ticket, can DH use all 3 tickets (they will all be adult tickets)? :confused3

He absolutely CAN use all of those tickets. Tickets are non-transferable, but only after they have been first used. Therefore, a 1-day ticket is completely transferable. No one "owns" a ticket until it has been used.

But here's the question ... will he be going to the parks for more than 3 days? If so, you'll have to buy him additional tickets. Since past Day 4 tickets are so heavily discounted, it might be worth your while to hold onto the 1-day tickets for some future use, if that will make sense for your future travel plans.

thanks for the replies. I actually just called & booked for 8/31 to 9/3 @ CBR. I did ask about the tix and was told that he could not use them because they would be assigned to each individual. They said I could upgrade his when we get there @ guest relations so I may just do that. Worst case my DD & I have one day passes we can use at a later time. :woohoo: For all 3 of us @ CBR for 3 nights with DDP total cost $706. Even with an AP discount on the room only I don't think it would beat the price with free DDP.

AP discount on Mods (at best) $109 per night that $327. plus 3 1 day tix thats $170. There is no way the 3 of us could eat 3 TS, 3 CS & 3 snacks for $210 (especially since DD, eventhough she just turned 9, won't eat of the Kid's menu. lol) :thumbsup2

If you and your daughter use your APs for park admission and let your DH use your room keys with the 1-day passes on them for admission, that will work. We have done this with our 1-day free dining passes many times. We have even given them to mt husband's niece for her family. No one has ever checked the names on the passes, even a couple of times when they did not work and we had to get them fixed.

Please don't post and tell me this is wrong. I know some feel that way and that is the rule, blah, blah, blah. I paid for the darn things and I'll use them as I please. :thumbsup2

You can have the room tickets REMOVED from your room keys and put on 3 individual paper tickets.

Your husband can then use those three one day tickets however your choose.

The CM may have been explaining policy as they understood. However I think he or she was wrong on this point.

The reality is -- until a ticket has been used, it hasn't been attached to any person. You CAN have the tickets separated from your room keys and you can use them however you choose.

Good luck!

Thanks again. Maybe we will try to have them taken off the room keys. If it doesn't work for some reason we will just upgrade his ticket. Either way...it's a win/win for us. :cheer2:

What he said :thumbsup2

And actually you don't even have to have them removed from the room keys to use them. Until they have been fingerscanned, any adult can use them :)

FYI - when they remove the tickets from room keys you don't get paper tickets. They put them on the same plastic card as they use for rooms keys. They just say 1A/1D TC. We had our 1 day tickets removed from our room keys last year during free dining. Also not all CM at the resorts know they can remove them. Keep asking until you get a CM who understands how to do this.
