question about tickets and split stays

I recently got a quote for a split stay for 3 nights at beach club and 4 nights at the poly. I was quoted for over $700 more and was told it was because of my tickets. I wanted 2 days worth of basic park tickets for while I was at beach club, and 3 days worth while at poly. We wanted the dining plan for both parts of the trip. The cm told me it was because the tickets aren't bundled or something, because the more tickets you buy the cheaper they are. Can someone tell me how I would be able to make a split stay cheaper than what I was quoted? For 7 nights at the beach club with dining and 5 days of park tickets my quote was $3800, and about $100 more for 7 nights at the poly. My quote for the split stay was for about $4700...thanks for any help or advice you can give me!

In order to get dining, you have to have a package and to make it a package, you need at least 1-day park passes. The only way to save most of the $700 is to give up the dining plan for the second part of your trip. You could also pony up the money for one-day park passes for that leg of your trip and keep the DP. You will get a few hundred dollars taken off by getting four days worth of tix for the BC stay and then just one-day tix for the poly stay. Those second and third days are almost as expensive as the first.

Is there anyway your family would be happy picking between the Poly or the BC or paying OOP for meals on the second part of your trip? You can have some of your 3-day credits carry over to your first Poly day through midnight, but the remaining 3 would be OOP.

We did decide to book just Poly, but I'm still kind of bummed and torn. I know I will love it, but I love the looks of Stormalong Bay! And I thought it would be neat to say I've tried a couple different places. We definitely know we want the dining plan for the whole entire stay, so it looks like we'll be settling on just going to Poly!
