Question about ticket price increases

What am I missing here? I don't get it. Why have vendors like Paramount and Ticketmania raised their prices? Disney only raised prices on tickets purchased at the gate, not on advance purchase tickets. Are these considered advance purchases when ordering from Ticketmania and Paramount?

I need a 5 day childs hopper, no plusses. Was going to order from Ticketmania, but their price is now $195. It used to be around $182. I can order the same ticket direct from Disney, and even paying the $3 shipping, the total is only $186.18.

So why would anyone use the other vendors now?

BTW, a 5 days park hopper (child) is $l77 tax included at our Mn AAA. office.

Disney also raised their wholesale prices to these vendors, not by a lot, but they did raise them.

The savings is for gate prices, not for advance purchase.

Advanced purchase is only considered advance via Disney.

I used Ticketmania because I got a 5 day hopper with 4 plusses for 252.00. Disney does not offer that .
