Question about the rainforest

Never would have thought of that given that it is Disney but so is Starbucks

Many restaurants at Disney are not owned and operated by them. About half in Epcot are not Disney restaurants and then Rainforest and Yak and Yeti at Animal Kingdom are different companies as well. I'm not sure if ang in Hollywood Studios are independent and I'm pretty sure all in Magic Kingdom are Disney owned.

That said, a bunch of non-Disney restaurants are a part of the Candlelight Processional Package.

However, I can think of multiple reasons why RFC is not:
  • Issues with application of Landry's Club credits to a dining package
  • RFC at Animal Kingdom is outside the gate - no ticket is needed to dine
  • ROL Dining Packages are pure profit on Disney's end and they don't want to share (with a lower margin than CP packages)
