Question about the meal plan and drinks

I just had a quick question about the meal plan and drinks. At some of the restaurants, I have heard people mention how good the milkshakes are. Would this count as your drink on the meal plan or would that be extra?

I was able to get milkshakes and virgin drinks as my drink on the meal plan, but you don't get refills.

At some places milkshakes can count as either your drink or your dessert (Sci Fi is one place for sure).
