question about the Jimmy Neutron ride???

I was reading Kelly's book about Universal and he stated that the Jimmy Neutron simulator ride could easily make someone feel quite queasy. Has this happened to you? Back when I was in US/IOA in 2000 it was still the Hanna Barbera ride and I could do it just fine, is JN worse than the Hanna Barbera ride??? I've been on a quite a few simulator rides and I've only gotten queasy on a couple of them--one was body wars in Disney, but I loved the star tours in Disney. Don't know why one made me sick and the other didn't though.

I have a tendency towards motion sickness. JN does not make me sick at all. You could sit through the ride in the front row where the stationary seats are to try and gauge if you may have a problem. If not, re-ride in a moving seat!

JN makes me very queasy. My kids love it, so I just sit in front in the stationary seating. I can ride some simulators and be just fine, but I have tried JN and find that I do better just sitting in the front row.

I did not know JN had stationary seating! Do you just ask when you get to the front of the line? That would be great- one more ride my son and I can ride! Are there any other rides with this option available?

Well I'm thinking that JN will probably be a one time ride for our family, so I'll probably go ahead and try it, but does it really help to look off to the side if you start to feel queasy? Never thought of that, I 'think' I remember reading at one time that closing your eyes doesn't help, but maybe by looking off to the side that would help. Thanks.

absolutely not!!! i rode both last year (JN @ UO and HB at KD) and i thought HB was so much more rough than JN! it also seemed "fast" and I couldn't follow along like i could w/ JN! If you could do the old HB and not get sick, you should be able to do JN and not get sick....it's not that bad! (really)

the eye movement to the screen is like the back to the future ride.
you feel the movement even though you are sitting in a confined area.

the only thing that bothers me, but i do love it, is the polka dance time.
i bounce up and down during that number...

I don't suffer at all from motion sickness normally but find that JN makes me feel a little queasy also. I just do what damo does, though, and look away from the screen.

When we went in Feb, the ride broke down half way through. After about 5 mins they got it fixed and started it again from the beginning. That was almost more than I could take - I felt really ill after that

My 6 yr old gets queasy veeeerrryy easy. (takes after his mom) we rode the jn ride last year, and thank god for the fotl pass...we rode it back to back 4 times! the only thing I can warn about on this particular ride is to hang onto your kids during the duration. The so called "safety bar" is not very well padded, and does not go down too far. A child can easily have their head or face slam into this bar if they are not careful. (i've seen it happen a couple of times on this ride. Other than that, like the previous posters said, if you feel off while on the ride, just look at any stationary object off to the side.
