Can you wear contacts while riding the Hulk? We were there 2 years ago and my grandson said he saw a sign that said you couldn't wear contacts on the ride. We are going next week and he thinks he will need to remove his contacts and since his mother couldn't find his glasses, he won't be able to see. I think he is mistaken, but wonder if anyone knows for sure. I would think you would have more of a problem with glasses than contacts.

I dont wear contacts, my wife does and rides hulk, dd, mummy she had no problems. have fun!

Yeah I have never seen sucha sign at any ride except for the top thrill dragster at ceder point and they don't even make you there. They just recomend it becasue you go at 120 MPH. Hulk only goes about 40-50 MPH and I have even worn glasses on it. You guys should be fine. Have a good trip!

Thanks, one less thing to worry about. :flower:

I've never seen that kind of sign anywhere.

And Hulk's top speed is 65 mph. 67 if the track is wet.

I actually posted for launching out of the gamma tube. I wasn't sure what the max speed on the hulk was becasue of all of the different ones I have heard. I have heard anywhere from 50-70. I automatically cancelled out the 70 MPH, but I wasn't sure which was the actual speed. Thanks for clearing that up.

While I would not go to the extent of taking out my contacts before riding the Hulk, I would reccommend that you have another pair available if something happens. When I rode the Hulk, I did not have any problems, but my eyes did water, so there would be a chance that you could lose a contact. I wear my contacts everywhere (swimming, sleeping etc) and I never seem to have a problem at any amusement part, but I do carry an extra set cause I am blind without them.

OMG, I would never even consider removing contacts to ride coasters. (but mine are the disposable kind). I imagine the warning would be because of the risk of dryness that could be caused. Note that I also wear my contacts in the shower and to the beach... they are easily replaced. But if it would be a case of a special type of contact that gets replaced yearly, I might give second thoughts to loss.

In all my Hulk Coaster rides, I've only lost one contact. I've been on the roller coaster numerous times.

I rode it last month and have contacts - no problem on any rides at.
