Question about The House of Blues

I apologize that this is off-topic, but had a pressing need for some answers quick...

I received an e-mail today that a concert of Sabrina Carpenter's that I'm planning on taking my 14-year old daughter to is changing venues from a nice theater to the House of Blues. To get a refund, I need to notify them by this Friday.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever gone to a concert at the HOB? I have never been to a HOB and have no clue how it is set up or what type of environment it is. It says that everyone who has a ticket will be admitted under standing room only. But because I also bought a VIP package for a meet and greet, that we would be admitted before the general public.

I can't seem to get an answer whether a meet and greet will still take place.. anyone know how this works? And also, I'm hoping that by getting in early we might be able to get close to the stage.

But her and I are only 5'2" and I'm afraid that we're not going to see much of anything over the heads of taller people.

Trying to figure out whether it would be worth the cost and hassle of going to this new venue to see this concert, or if I should request a refund. I haven't mentioned any of this to my daughter yet because she's been wanting to see Sabrina perform for about 3 years now and I know she'll want to go no matter what the environment is going to be like.

I'd really appreciate anyone's thoughts before I bring this up to my daughter. Thanks!!

Which HOB? I have been to a concert at the HOB in Cleveland. It is a small venue and we were in the balcony upstairs and had excellent seats. We ate dinner at HOB before the show and they allowed those who dinned to enter the venue through a special entrance that is not open to the general public. So we avoided the large crowd waiting to get in.

Thanks for the reply! It's the one in Cleveland that we're going to as well. I believe I'll have the option of entering through a special entrance also. So it was worth going?

I've been to a few concerts at the House of Blues in Cleveland, also. I really like the venue. The main area in front of the stage is somewhat small and sometimes fans are crammed in there like sardines. I usually try to get one of the seats at the bar along the sides of that area. It's a great view! Like the previous poster said, the balcony is also a great option. And there are plenty of places to stand in the raised area behind and surrounding the main viewing area.

As far as the meet & greet goes, typically the venue won't have any answers for you. That's up to the artist. I've been to a couple meet & greets at that House of Blues, so I know they do them there. I can't imagine an artist disappointing their fans by not following through with a meet & greet after people have paid extra for it.

Those that purchased a VIP package should be admitted first, followed by those that dined at the restaurant or purchased early entrance passes, and finally the general public. At least that's how the ones have gone that I've been to with my daughter.

It's worth going to, in my opinion. I hope you and your daughter have a great time!
