Question about the Feb. releases @ WDW

We are starting our pin trading this Tuesday at WDW (only 4 days!), but I had questions on the new release pins I saw coming out (Mickey POM, Tink POM, Buzz, Scented, LE). Can I go to any resort or pin station to purchase these the day they come out, or is there one place better than the others? I know alot of people call down and order the pins from home, and I didn't know if the demand would be so great that they wouldn't even make it to the parks. Like the LE 2500, how do they divide them up between the parks and phone orders to WDW Merchandise? Do you think I'll be able to find any of the pins that were released in January, or will they all be gone?

Also, will the CM's be wearing any of the new ones on them to trade, or should I expect to buy them?

Most new releases are released parkwide. There are LE releases that may be location-specific, but those are the exceptions. Generally pin locations that one can get to without a park admission (Disney Pin Traders or the Contemporary, for example) usually sell out fast.

And I wouldn't worry about competing with phone orderers for the LEs. IIRC, WDW merchandising doesn't even take orders for new LE releases until at least after the first day of release. I doubt any CMs will be wearing any on their lanyards to trade. The supertraders (Hi, Mike!! ) tend to wear them on their costume where they are not available for trade. That's when they go from supertraders to superteasers.

Dizneypins.com has a list of what LEs are available on property and Larry does update it on a regular basis. Check it out before you go to get an idea of what's available and where.

It's funny how I can find time 2 days before my vacation to check the internet, but the clothes I needed to wash to take with me just sat in a pile! Kinda like that person on another post who gave up buying a new stove after hers went out because she didn't dare tap into her Disney fund! Only a Disney fan can understand this reasoning!

Hopefully I'll see Scoop on Tuesday-I'll pass on the greetings to him!
