Hi all,

I booked the fantasmic dinner package at Mama Melrose for 3:55 on a night of a 6:30 show. I was just going to book a late lunch but the cm convinced me this was the way to go. Since I wasn't prepared, I'm not totally sure what's included in this. Is it just a dinner, or do we get soup or salad or an app? Dessert? Since we were just going to have lunch at MM, this will definetely by more than we would have spent so I need to convice my husband the extra $$ is worth it.

Also, with a 6:30 fantasmic, are we cutting it close, or are we just right. Say we left the resaurant at 5:30...do we walk right over to Fantasmic? Can you guys give me tips and info about this? Do we still have to worry about what time we get there and getting seats, or is it all taken care of?

TIA for any info!
90 days to go!
:woohoo:

I was told that it is not extra dollars, just the same as if you're dining at Mama Melrose. I think based on what I've read the queue for F can be quite long. You avoid that wait and apparantly get good seats. Also if you are on DP you get an extra course, not 100% on that though. There aren't many F shows when we're there so we figure it may be quite busy.

I had a 3:35 reservation there about a month ago for the Fantasmic! package. It includes any appetizer (2 people must share the "for two" appetizers), any entree, and any dessert. It is 1 credit on the dining plan (Brown Derby is 2, Mama Melrose and H&V are 1).

DH had the mussels, spinach and tomato flatbread, and tiramisu. I had the tomatoes and mozzarella, penne a la vodka, and cheesecake. All the food was great (well, the flatbread was just pretty good, DH said "it's very good pizza, but it's just pizza") and we got the special entrance.

You will probably have to get to the theater somewhat early. We got there very early because we didn't realize they were using the special entrance again, about an hour early and got great seats in the reserved section (the regular section was pretty much full already).

During our April 09 trip, we were able to get the Calamari for two as one appetizer, in addition to another appetizer on the F! deal. However this past trip, every restaurant we went to (didn't do the F! this time) were counting "for two" apps as 2 appetizers on the plan. I'm guessing either this is a recent change, or we just got lucky that time ;)

Thanks for all the answers, now I have a better idea what to expect food-wise. How about time-wise? For a 6:30 show, what time should we plan to arrive at the special entrance?

We have been 4 times and as for time wise they will tell you what time you should be there. I don't know if were you go in has changed becaue we didn't do it this past trip last month. We were told to go to a gate next to where you rent the strollers an hour before it started. You walked down along path, well seemed long after been walking all day. Then you entered the right side of the stands and that is where you sat. Since there are limited shows now I am sure that it fills up fast. Hope that helps.
