Question about the DLH?

I have a quick question regarding the Disneyland Hotel. I know check in isn't until 3:00 pm but our flight gets in at 10:15 am and by the time we got our car rental and such and drive from LAX to Anaheim it would be about 12:00 or so. My question is do they allow you to use the pool or do an early check in? If not then we will probably hit DL but I thought after an early morning and flight that the boys will want to swim and we can relax.

yes you can use the pool and facilities while you wait for your room. Enjoy!

Yes, you can absolutely use the pool until your room is ready. We've checked in early many times but have opted to head into the parks while we wait for our room. Make sure to have a seperate bag for swim stuff while your luggages go to bellhop. There isn't a shower facility at the pools, just your basic restroom.

Good question! When we went to WDW our hotel was ready when we arrived at 8am. I'm sure if there is a room ready, they would allow you to check in. I was told then that if our room wasn't ready, we could leave our bags at the bell desk and go to the parks. I assume DL would have the same type policy. Suppose I should look into that though as we are going just a few days before you and arriving at 10am as well.

Yep! Just called - if they have a room available you will get it. If not, they will hold your luggage and you will be given a room assignment later.

You already have your answer, but yes, we were able to check in (but NOT get our room) at around 10am last Monday (oh man it's been a week already, wahhh!). We opted to not swim b/c of what we felt would be a hassle of changing, but we got in well before you and couldn't imagine spending 5ish hours in the pool.

Thank-you everyone for your replies. We may head to DL if that is what the kids want to do. We have AP's so we aren't concerned about tickets or anything. Hopefully they will have a room ready for us around lunch time.
