I am so bad about understanding all of these offers so I thought I'd ask here...

We were sent the $200 reward card Disney Visa offer. I was planning on getting a Disney Visa anyway because we will be going back to Disney in summer of 2012 (we were there this past August). My question is... I plan to use the visa to accumulate points to use toward our vacation... how long do the points last? I mean the $200 reward and any that I earn by using the visa? Will they expire before we go (or even book) our vacation? What do you need to do to use them? Thanks for any thoughts or advice.

$200 is great, when I signed up they had no interest for 1 year (that was 2 years ago)! I have a Disney Visa every month your reward dollars are shown on your statement I believe reward dollars that I am getting right now expire in 2013. You build them up and then call and transfer them to a card that looks like a cc that they will mail you and then you can use it like a cc at the parks/hotels/restaurants. You can also use reward dollars for disney movies/dvd's and at disneyshopping. You get 1 dollar for every 100 you spend and sometimes they send out 5X or 3X rewards promos to certain people. I got a 5X over christmas and racked up 250 extra dollars. I really like my disney visa, and sometimes when disney realeases promos those w dv get to book a few days early, I did this two years ago w/ free dining. You could have a lot of "free" money saved in time for your next trip!

every statement it will say what month and year they expire and keep a running total online like 12 expire 12/2013 20 expire 1/2014 and so on...could be 2015 instead of 2013, I have a bad memory:confused3

I am turning very green because I would love that $200 gift card offer

I got the $200 offer as well. I signed up online on a Monday & got my card that Saturday. When I called to activate it the rep was really nice & explained everything & all the advantages. She also confirmed the $200 after my 1st purchase. :cool1:

I think it's subject to change at any time, but my points are generally good for 5 years.

From the website:

Disney Dream Reward Dollars transferred onto a Disney Rewards® Redemption Card expire on the expiration date printed on the rewards card. Disney Dream Reward Dollars in your Disney Rewards® account will expire 5 years from the date they are earned (and posted to your account). Check your monthly credit card statement for more information on when your rewards will expire.

Does anyone know if the 200GC offer is still available and if so how do you go about getting it if it wasnt mailed to you?

I just got an offer in the mail today for a $150 reward card. I already have a Disney Visa but the $150 reward makes it tempting.

I have been considering getting a card to take advantage of the 0%. The $200 or $150 reward for signing up would be great. As of last night it was looking like $40...but this morning looking all I can find is a $15. What a huge difference. Oh well...

Can I ask a quick question... you folks who received the $200 offer, can you think of anything you had done (ie registered with Disney Parks, or another website) which may have triggered the offer to be sent to you guys?

After speaking with Chase about a few things we are very interested in trying to get the Disney Visa, but the offer online is only $15.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I tried everything I could think of for months: saved trips on the website, clicked into the Visa offer on the WDW site and Disneystore.com. Nothing. I finally saw a link here for the $100 gift card, applied and got it.

FYI-I think there is a $40 offer at the Disney World website.

Good Luck

I got the $200 offer and applied but was rejected. Has this happened to anyone? I have perfect credit with a score over 800. The reason on the denial letter was "too many recent credit inquiries". We just re financed our mortgage which is why my credit was checked recently. Is it worth calling them or reapplying?

I have a disney visa, I had it before I got married and have since changed my name on our card. Our offer came to our Apt addressed to 'the "my maiden name" family'. DH tried to apply for the card so we could get the $200, but after much hassle, they told him he couldn't do it because it wasn't intended for him. I don't know how our address would be connected to my maiden name, so i'm not sure how we got picked for the offer, although technically we weren't picked because we couldn't use it:mad:

Wow! $200!! ooh, but I got a pin that reads somthing like "member since day 1" That's just as good as $200, right :sad2:
