My family (2 adults and a 12 years old child) has reserved a Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining Plan for 10 days. If the child only join us on the 5th day or even no showing up, could I still have all 3 ppls dinning credit for 10 days? Could the 2 adults use all the 30 table served dinner credit if the child not coming?

just getting this straight: You want to buy a package plus dining plan for two adults, plus a 12 year old child (a 12 year old child is an adult for Disney ticket and dining plan purposes). However, the child may arrive halfway through the trip or not at all.

I guess you could conceivably use the 12 year old's credits. But you have to buy a ticket for them also - the same ticket everyone else on the reservation gets - what happens to the ticket?

Be cautious if you are going during free dining. For the past couple of years WDW resorts have required that all persons on the party be present at checkin for free dining because some patrons were booking phantom extra guests just to get the dining credits.

I don't have any personal experience as I'm still planning our 1st trip to WDW but from all that i've read on this board if you are going during the free dining period, everyone needs to be at the front desk at check in in order for the cm to add all the credits to your KTTW. I believe it's to avoid fraud. You know, saying that 4 adults will be in one room and only 2 adults are actually there in order to get the credits of the nonexistent 2 other adults for free.

If you are paying for the DDP, I don't think it'll be a problem though. Just not too sure.

I had been warned on the DIS boards that everyone must be present when checking in during the free dining promo...made sense and I was ready to comply.

When we arrived to check-in I had everyone with me. After standing in line for OVER 1.5 hours to check-in, I was the ONLY one left standing when it was my turn. The castmember didn't say a word. Perhaps because they knew I would rip their head off and eat at that point!!!! :scared1:
Nothing like traveling with 3 kids for 12 hours cross country and then waiting for darn near 2 hours to get checked-in :sad2:
