Question about the dining plan

We have the disney dining plan. I have one question. I know for a table service meal each meal comes with an appetizer, meal, and dessert. We have two adults and two kids. We don't get four appetizers right??? That seems like way too much. Thanks.

That is the way it works for the CURRENT dining plan. Starting in 2008, there are no more appetizers. Yes, 4 appetizers is a lot.

You will, indeed, be getting four appetizers. The kids' appetizers aren't as big as the adults' (of course). We had four in our party and we made sure each of us ordered a different appetizer. That way, we could get a little taste of everything.

In most places the KIDS meals comes with carrots/celery or grapes as an appetizer it depends on the type of meal and type of restaurant it is.
The kids usually get a mickey head type of plate or container...
Think of the 2 ears appetizer and dessert and the large circle for the entree

Some places also have buffets and the appetizers are on the buffet.
