Question about the CP

I have a DD who wants to do the CP. I am just thinking ahead as she is a junior in high school right now. I was wondering if she would be entitled to any perks from being in the CP program. For instance, if her Father and I wanted to visit during her CP time, would she be able to get us a discount for hotel and park tickets? I know that she wouldnt have to pay for park tickets (or at least I am assuming she wouldnt) but didnt know about the family. Thanks, I am a long term planner and like to have things going in my mind. Looking at the budget for a couple years down the road. Thanks

Ok, obviously we cannot completely predict what will be available by the time your DD gets CP age, but I can give you the current info as a jumping off point.

CP's get in all four parks for free, naturally. Also, Blizzard Beach til sometime in March, as well as Pleasure Island free something like Monday through Thursday (Sunday?) nights.

Current CP's can get three friends/family into the parks with them up to six days a piece. Meaning, whichever three people a day each day, doesn't have to be consecutive, doesn't have to be the same three people each day. Beyond three people, there are "discounted" tickets available, but Disney doesn't give ANYBODY more than a few dollars off a day for any sort of discount it seems, but any is better than nothing.

CP's can book discounted resort rooms. Until March, we can actually get 60% off some rooms as part of an on-going holiday celebration package, but normally we can get up to 40% of the various classes of rooms.

Thanks so much for that information. That is very useful for me to know. She really wants to do this program- she loves everything Disney. She would love to be in the theater aspect of Disney. She sings and will pursue music in college. Is there an area of the CP where she would be able to use this? I havent checked into the different jobs much. Is there a website that has loads of information on the CP program and what you have to do to get started in it? Thanks OXX for the help

you can audition for entertainment (so characters, i'm guessing those in the parades and shows as well).

my friend started out as a fur character then auditioned a while later for face character. unfortunately, she had to leave before she got her results, but that's how it goes
