Does anyone know what rooms have good views, good location, what to request, etc? We are staying in Nov. in a one bedroom studio. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much! :flower:

Do you have a standard view or a preferred view booked?

Not sure what a one-bedroom studio is. We stayed in what they called a 2-bedroom, which consisted of:
A one-bedroom unit, which had a bedroom with king bed, a queen pull-out couch and a full kitchen. And...
A studio unit, which had a queen bed, a full pull-out couch and I guess what you could call an efficiency kitchen (apartment size fridge, no stove, had a microwave.) The bed and couch were right next to each other.

So I'm not sure what you booked..sorry for my confusion..

We did have a room overlooking the quiet pool, which was very nice. It was a long walk to the elevators, but we made do!

there are some nice views at BW.

the really good ones BW are surpose to be only for DVC members these days.

You could get a standard view or preferred.

preferred views are the swimming pools or the lagoon view towards the Swan and Studios.

standard views are have either the front drive or a parking lot in them. they also have a lovely garden.

I learned to hate the silly clown in the main pool. but I would think that the quiet pool would be nice.

one other thing - a nice view generally means a long walk. If you don't want to spend alot of time walking the walks at BWV, just ask for the near the elevators.

if you have booked preferred view, ask for room over quiet pool. I find that very lovely,

if standard room, try not to get one too far from the elevators.. it is a walk.
most standards over parking lots.

we got lucky 3 times and got better view. this last time overlooked the parking lot. It wasnt all that bad..

I like any view as long as it is in BWV

Did you rent points from a member or book through CRO? If you booked through CRO, they don't give you a choice of standard or preferred, it is just one rate and you get whatever is available.

We booked through CRO and don't know what kind of room we have...probably standard. Thanks everyone for your help! :flower:

I'm confused as to whether you have a studio or a one-bedroom villa. Anyways, we just stayed in a studio overlooking the main entrance, standard view, but we still had a view of some of the Epcot fireworks!

Sorry Snowy, I didn't mean to confuse anyone. We have a studio. How did you get that view, overlooking the main entrance? Did you request it? Thanks for your help. :flower:

Be sure to ask for an upgrade. We were booked in a 2 bedroom villa and were upgraded to a 3 bedroom Grand Villa with 5 balconies overlooking the boardwalk. That place was bigger than my house - no kidding! :teeth:

We have always had preferred views, in both studio and one-bedroon villas. I don't know which is my favorite tho....overlooking the quiet pool and the canal with the Friendship boats coming and going or overlooking the Village Green looking toward YC/BC. Both were wonderful. And we have been lucky enough to get top floors also.

BWV are my DVC "home." Since you booked with CRO, you will probably get standard view since preferred and BW views are saved for members.

Upgrades at DVC properties are few and far between. It's possible but rarely happens unless they accidentally overbooked or the villas are empty.
