Question About the Bar @ 50PTC...

I believe you can order the milkshakes from PTC at the bar, but has anyone ever ordered food at the bar? I'm not talking about an entire meal, but if you tried an appetizer or dessert would they let you?

I'm glad to hear it! We're thinking of going again soon NOT on the DDP and I'd love to pop in for a drink and the herb cheese!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, this is a new idea to me (not sure why...I guess I'm slow!)....

We don't do very many TS meals, mostly CS. Are you saying the 5 of us (2 adults, 3 teens) could go into the bar & order milkshakes (ok, beer for dad) & appetizers or desserts? This would be so perfect for us!

Are there any other restaurants in the parks that are like this?

(We've eaten dinner at 50's PT & loved it; just hate to take out precious park time).

Not just appetizers or desserts, you can order anything you want off the Prime Time menu at the Tune In Lounge.

The fried herb cheese is off the menu. Sorry.

You may also have trouble finding enough bar seating for a whole family. The bar isn't all that large.

Anyone looking for the cheese app will be disappointed, it has been off the menu for a while now.

In August, I asked to talk to the manager about it and he told me I was the first guest that had mentioned their displeasure with it being discontinued......He said I was the first to bring it up since it was off the menu!

I don't know if he was being truthful or not with me but if people are unhappy with it being taken off the menu, you have to speak up or else they don't think guests notice.

Also, that bar is always really crowded, I would think it would be hard for more than two people to sit there and have app's or even a meal, as we have seen many people ordering complete meals while at the bar, unless it was during an off hour. I don't think guests should plan on going in there for milkshakes and apps at 6 o'clock, esp with a larger party and being seated together. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Good point...We will be there during a slow time (well, if that even exists anymore), and if we try it, we'll do it at an off-time, not peak meal times.
